The key fell out of the kill switch which has happened many time and I find it laying on the floor. This time I tried to start and nothing, so I looked on the floor and found the key, reinserted it and tried to start again, Nothing, just dead. Battery good (New) all gauges light up and just nothing happens when I turn the ignition key. Can I bypass this kill switch and how do I do it?

That kill switch is not a factory option or installation. It may just have two wires going to it so if you put them back together then it should work ok unless the security system is screwed up from it which a pro would need to scan to find out.

This is a factory installed device. There is not a ssecuriuty system installed in my truck. I call it a "killswitch" because that is what it does. The device is located directly below the steering wheel and has a plug in that is flat with 6 contact prongs. And yes there are 2 wires going in it. 1 of which is red.

Thats a add on sounds like a pro lock or a knock off one. Alot of dealers added them on the vechiles. Before they left the dealers and sold them that way to make more money on the deal.I have even seen where when the customer didnt buy the add on they broke the chip off and installed it in the slot so it would still start.I have never seen a gm vehicle come from the factory like that. Post a picture of the slot where the chip goes in so we can see it.
