Chevrolet Silverado Bell housing Problem

Ignition switch turns everything on fine. When turned all the way to start it blows the 40 amp ignition fuse under the hood. removed purple wire from starter and use jumper-wire to start. Everything works fine. Just replaced tranny. Don't believe that I damaged any wires.
