I have a 1996 Chevy Impala SS with an electric problem and I am not sure where to start. The dome light does not come on, the doorlocks do not work, and the mirrors will not move and the lights on the side of the doors do not light up. The light on the passenger door fell out of the door and one of kids closed the door while it was hanging out before I could put it back into place. Not 100% sure if this is when the problem started. Changed all fuses. Can you give me a place to start looking to see if there is a short in a wire somewhere?

These functions are controlled by the Body control Module. You would need a Tech2 scan tool to be able to diagnose it.

Where is BCM located? Is it something I need to bring to the dealer to do or can my son install it for me. He works on cars but wasn't sure where to start looking for this problem.
