I am having electrical issues and my ENG fuse keeps blowing. Why is this happening?

I just finished changing out my transmission. I started it up and it began to blow the fuse. I don't know what would cause this. Engine will not run properly with out this fuse.

Yeah it is a 4.3 and I checked all of wire running to the trans and we made sure the hot wire running to the starter wasn't grounded out and didn't help. Fuse does blow as I turn the key on

Thanks for the advice. It was the o2 sensor itself shorting out. Got it fixed and runs great.
