My 1996 Cadillac Seville sts. Won’t start when the outside temp reaches 75 degrees or higher. If the car is being driven when the out temp goes past 75 degrees, it will start running rough. If you turn the car off, it won’t restart until outside temp goes down to around 72 degrees and lower. No warning lights or indicators read out. The temp gauge read normal operations. Is there a sensor or something that’s reading the out temp as the car is overheating and shutting it down?
2nd problem. Car will run fan on hwy but, will over heat when in stop and go traffic. I can't find any leaks once car over heats it won't restart for 3 to 4 hrs later. Replace thermo stat and coolet level is fine car will take about a qt after overheat.

You will have to clear the codes to narrow it down. The low fan button is no and the high fan button is yes. After it cycles through the computers its going to stop on pcm?You want to hit the high button to enter the pcm. Then hit the low button till you see clear pcm codes. Then push off and high buttons and u will see it flash repeat through all computers. The hard codes you cant clear.A history code started as a hard code. Then come back kk

Yes it spins hard and may catch for a sec and may give a small back fire. Sometimes I can get it to start by spraying a quick burst of starter fluid. The jug seems to knock sometime so I think it may bubble. What are Body codes? I looked up the codes and it seems to be problems related to those codes going on. I replaced the 02 sensor twice. If you look at pc 131 and 151.131 says bank 1 sensor1 and 151 says bank 2 sensor1 but they state the location as the same place just before the converter. This is the one I've replaced twice and still getting the same reading the converter is only one yr old.

Those 2 codes wont make it overheat. You need a hydo carbon test because its poss. You have blown head gaskets can cause the overheat and make the overflow jug boil. Check the oil and see if it looks like cream. If your driving the overheated till it quits u probally have cracked the heads.

I thought I may have had blown heads and used Dura Seal. The car runs fine on the hwy. I thought if the heads were gone you would run bad at higher speeds not lower? Could it also be clot purge line or something else stopping good circulation of antifreeze? Also how must does a carbon test cost?
Thanks Calvin

You said the car is overheating and the gauge reads properly. This is impossible. Go to engine data on the information panel, to get coolant temp. Test is cheap at most parts outlets. It sniffs your coolant. If your blowing any type of smoke this is a good sign. You cant driveim till they die with alum. Heads they crack. Ck. Your oil for coolant and your coolant for oil, you will need a rebuilt pair of heads and gaskets. The reason it runs bad because your burning coolant in the cylinders
