My CV joint has gone out in the sense that the boot is ruined and it clicks when I turn. I have ordered a new driveshaft in order to replace the CV joint it has not arrived yet. Today, I heard what appears to be a dragging sound as if I was dragging a small chain coming from the front driver side of my car. This is the same side where the faulty cv joint is. The car isn't dragging anything,could the sound be the CV joint?
