1995 volkwagen eurovan - even with engine running and brake depressed. Can the interlock be bypassed? No other details - this was never a problem until today, and happened in the afternoon after being normal in the morning.

The best thing is to take it to a transmission repair facility, not a regualr garage but a specialist. If you can find someone who specializes in Volkswagon Transmissions that is even better.
Have them pull the trouble codes and that will be the best diagnosis you can get Automatic transmissions take a lot of expertise and experience, that is why I reccommend taking it to a transmission shop. Don't go to an AAMCO though, they are overpriced and are just to into mass production.
