Having problem with 1995 Toyota 4Runner(3.0 L, automatic). Went to start car and it took aprox 30 seconds to start. Started a little rough, but once started and given a little gas, it blew out a puff of black smoke and then cleared up. Runs fine afterwards or at least til its been shutdown for about 5 min. Problem them repeats. Any have an idea the cause? Any answer appreciated.

Could be running too rich due to the following below

1. Excessive fuel pressure can be cause by restricted fuel return line
2. Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3. Leaking injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
4. Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
5. Restricted air intake system.
