Car engine overheats
I Have a 1995 Saturn Sl1 and it has been overheating but if i turn on the Air condition it begins to cool and the cooling fan runs . the fan runs when the air is on but don,t when air is off is there a sensor that determines when the cooling fan comes on RAY

Yes its the bottom coolant temp sensor with two wires going to it a yellow wire and a black wire.Its bad replace it also inspect the inside of the connector going to it if the terminals are blue or green instead of silver you need to replace the connector also.
