Hi there, my lancer idles low, it always starts first time. When first started it runs fine but after it heats up and I accelerate it start to choke like someones squising the fuel line and letting it go, it will do this and il loose speed and have to turn the car off and on again, that will get me a little bit further untill it starts again, I changed the fuel filter it was dirty as looked like a rust colour and ive changed the air filter that was in a bad way, what is my next step. Thanks jason

Hi there, ive held the revs at 2000 rpm and there is good pressure comming from the exaust, I distonected the 02 sensor while the car was running and there was no change at all would that be the cause of my problem.
Cheers jason.

If there is a problem with the O2 sensor, the computer will run in what is called a closed loop. So, you may not notice anything different unless you drive it that way. Did you checked pump pressure?

You'll need a fuel pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent them.

Hi there I finaly got my lancer back on the rd, I ended up pulling out the injectors and they were clooged up full of gunk, there was only one injector that was partly open. Now after cleaning them out the car is running like it should and not missing a beat, thank you for all your advise if I have any problems in the future il be back on here to ask your advise.
