VS Not Starting

Hi, I have a 1995 VS Commodore. My car no longer wants to start it clicks but nothing more. I have bought a new battery but this didnt seem to fix it for long as battery keeps going flat have had battery checked but seems its the car not the battery - is this a short somewhere or perhaps starter motor?
Any advice would be helpful

Could be the starter, starter relay,transmission position switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good.

Common for the starter to fail on these, it will be cheaper to get a new high torque starter, they are smaller more powerful and easy to install.
