Service engine soon light
My 1995 GMC Rally van with a 5.7 and auto tranny has a SES light on . I tried to pull codes with a paper clip from B to A on the 12 pin obd 1 clip with no luck. Idles up and down and feels like tranny is starting out in second gear unless I manually shift to first. Vehicle speed sensor maybe? Why no code?

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and test the TPS and MAP sennsor to include a fuel pressure check
