Ok like I did the usual things, I e. Thermostat, water pump, , fan clutch, radiator, both sensors, replaced the instrument panel. Checked the temp. On hoses radiator, and the sending unit area, With the gauge pegged, the reading was 185, So whats next? Thanks. I mean short of putting in a Manuel temp gauge that is, Thanks Rick

There's only one sensor for a dash gauge. It has a single-wire connector. Two-wire sensors are for the Engine Computer. Unplug the gauge sensor. The gauge should go to full "cold". If it does not, that wire is grounded somewhere.

Thanks for the reply, and yes I do know the temp gauge has one wire, just wanted to find out if there was a bi metal sensor inline to the gauge. With newer ie. 90 models and up you never know. . Thanks again Rick
