Ford Ranger Check engine light Problem

My check engine light is on. I had it checked to see what code was causing the light to be on. The code was p1433. That is the evap system according to the tech. I have already changed the gas filler cap. How can I tell what component is causing tjhe problem, or do I have to replace everything to get the problem component fixed or can they be repaired? Where do I start?
