Intermittent transmission problems
I have a '94 Dodge Spirit I just bought used. It has an intermittent problem:
It shifts hard from first to second (sometimes) and sometimes it won't go in to 4th (it's an automatic) Letting it rest for 15 minutes or so will resolve the problem.
Any thoughts/ It only has 24,000 miles

It may have a problem with the shift solenoids or the internal fluid pressure. Get the troulbe codes pulled and see if anything comes up. Any Advnace Auto or Auto Zone wil do this for free.
