1995 Chrysler Cirrus car will not start

Car quit running while driving. Started right up the next day wouldn't start -, replaced fuel pump started right up drove around stopped at store turned off and then started right up, drove home turned off and then would not start up. Let set for a few days and it started drove around - then turned off and then wouldn't start, it tries to start but then dies

The first thing is to read and record the diagnostic fault codes, assuming the battery hasn't been disconnected or run dead. The next is to check for spark when the engine won't run.
