Sounds like you might have a problem with your pump being air locked. Unless, of course, you did put GAs in a Diesel vehicle. It won't run with gasoline in it because diesel ehgines have no ignition source but rely on compression to ignite the fuel air mixture. If you did put Gasoline in it you have a big problem that will require the fuel tank and fuel system to be purged/serviced by a knowledgable person.

If you put gasoline into the fuel tank. DO NOT turn on that key ! The fuel filter/ fuel bowl has a heater in it to get the fuel warmed up for winter operation. Your motor will EXPLODE ! If the area you live in isn't cold enough for said heater to run. The motor WILL explode once gasoline enters the combustion chambers !
Dwb. How much do you know about diesel motors? By reading your reply. Not much !

Actually, I know more than you may think. I was reasonable enough to know he would have already encountered that problem if it was an issue. If he had a diesel he would not again try to start it by my recommendation. Stick to giving your opinion on repairs and not onthe expertise of other people trying to give their help. I have years of experience with just this sort of thing and you are right about one thing. What you state MAY happen but is not very common.

I agree and was trying to make that point. He is entitled to his opinion but not to attack mine.
