I have a 1995 chevrolet caprice classic sedan I bought 15x8 rally wheels for it now im trying to figure out what tire would fit without rubbing I was told I could put on 255 60 15 bf goodrich tires on np and wouldnt rub he says but im not sure any help would be much appreciated?I have stock wheels on it right now with 225 70 15 tires thank you for your time

THERE IS A SITE CALLED "TIRE RACK" THEY USED TO HAVE CHARTS THAT COMPARED ASPECT RATIOS (HEIGHTS AND WIDTHS). I REMEMBER THAT WE WERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE SPEEDOMETER RATIO BETWEEN 235/ 75/ 15 (STOCK TIRES) AND 35s THERE WAS A CHART FOR THAT TOO. THERE WAS A LOT OF INFO ON THEIR SITE.

Thanks I checked both those tires r basically the same in height but in width the 225 is 8.86 wide and 255 is 10.04 just wonder if that would matter that much?

I TAKE IT THAT YOU AIN'T GOT THE TIRES YET?

THROWIN' THINGS THAT MIGHT SOUND STUPID

FIND A WHEEL W/ THAT SIZE TIRE AT A SELF SERVE AUTO SALVAGE YARD (WITH THE SAME OFFSET), JACK YOURS UP AND SNATCH A WHEEL(S), SEE IF IT WORKS OUT.

YOU CAN EITHER BUY IT, KEEP IT AS A SPARE, OR MAKE UP SOME SORTA EXCUSE AS TO WHY IT WON'T WORK FOR YOU AND STICK IT BACK IN THE YARD.

IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF THE OFFSET, OR THE LUG PATTERN IS WRONG

SIMPLY BUY IT FOR THE TIRE. YOU CAN THEN MOUNT THE USED TIRE ON ONE OF YOUR NEW RIMS AND CHECK THINGS OUT THOROUGHLY.,.,.,.,.,.BEFORE YOU INVEST IN A WHOLE SET.

NORMALLY THE TIRES AT A SALVAGE YARD ARE HARD FOR THEM TO GET RID OF, YOU CAN PROBABLY GET IT FOR MIGHT NEAR NUTHIN'!
