Starter motor

Hi I have a p reg bmw 318i e36, thank u so much with the advice on my overheating problems and all fixed, just need to know how much and how difficult is fitting a starter motor for it, thanks again paul

You might not want to tackle this job, you have to take the intake off to get to the starter. I have no idea how much a starter for this runs, best to call an auto parts store. We can't give estimates anymore from our manual.

You can change the starter from under the car but its better to have it on a lift

The intake does not need to be removed

The car starts but not first every time and a pain lol, I've got m.O.T in 5 days for it, will it pass with starter motor not working right, thanks paul
