Im looking at getting a 1995 acura legend se and the one I test drove transmission isnt very smooth. I put my foot down and it reved to 7k and the red line starts at 6.5k and then I jerked into next gear and then quickly into the next one. Is this a cheap fix or something more serious.

First of all you are abusing the car driving that way.

Let a trans shop check it for you as this is not a normal mode of driving

Sounds like it need some serious trans work, I have seen trans lay down and die after one high rev short shift, everything has a limit, it's a street car not a race car.
