1994 Toyota Pickup Repair Question

Will a 83' Toyota 22R fit and hook up in a 94" Toyota that had a 22RE?
My 94' Toyota 4x4 22RE engine's rod started knocking I was told the engine was gone. I also have a 83' Toyota that has a 22R engine. I wanted to know if I could put the 83' into the 94' and have it all fit up correctly.

It should as far as I know, but the best source of information of this type is a junkyard or dealer.
