1994 Toyota Carina Repair Question

Overheating
My 1994 CarinaE GLI is overheating, I replaced a small water hose and refilled the system ,but after a short distance the temperature gauge reads off the scale and the water system has to be topped up, none of the hoses are leaking any water ???

Check and test the thermostat, radiator if its clogged and water pump functioning-if okay try bleeding it don't work get it block and pressure tested-
