I recently broke the dashboard passenger side vent diverter (not sure what u call it). I managed to get that single piece, but can't install it because there are two plastic parts (like pegs) on the side that need to fit into place. When I place one side, I can't get the other to fit because of the cover on the dash. I am not sure if I can remove the cover and if I can I'm not sure how without breaking. What should I do?

From your picture, it appears the peg on the right side might be tapered to allow it to be snapped into place. Otherwise, you might look for a "pull-your-own-parts" salvage yard to see if they have a car like yours to experiment on. Do a search for "Pull-A-Part" and see if they have a yard near you. They're very clean and well-organized.

The next approach would be to get a copy of the manufacturer's service manual. Aftermarket manuals like Haynes and Chiltons won't go into things like that.
