My saturn was running fine all day yesterday, but when I went to leave again for work it wouldn't start. It was almost as if my starter was suddenly completely bad (it wouldn't crank over at all), but I haven't had any problems with it in the past. Any suggestions?

Additional info: My battery is brand new. The cooling fan is the only thing that started under the hood when I went to start my car.

ONE MORE QUESTION: My odometer just stopped working too -- How do I fix it?

You could have a bad starter they can just not work all of a sudden especially when they get heated up. Make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. Do you have a multimeter or test light to dosome testing? As far your odometer not working you have a broken odometer gear really common on those cars. You would have to remove the cluster assembly take it apart and replace the gear pretty easy. If your intrested in doing that I can get you the details on it.

Here is a link to the instructions you will need to replace the larger red gear in the odometer assembly that is the one that always break. They say to replace both but if you want to replace both that is up to you. So have you figured out your starter problem yet?

Well, I found a lot of exposed wires and taped them up. After that, my car started right up. I am going to check out my starter more when I have some time off of work next week though.

Thanks for the instructions!
