1994 Plymouth Voyager fuel gauge went to full and doesn't register accurately. Began about a month ago. Two days ago it sputtered and shut off in traffic. I replaced the fuel filter. The engine will turn over, but, will not crank. It almost cranks, but, is "mushy" and never really cranks. Can I troubleshoot this or is it too technica?L

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure tester to rule the fuel pump-start here

Make sure the battery has a full charge, All battery connections clean and tight. Have helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Check for applicable mil codes. Let us know.

As far as your gas gage, I'd have to check the sending unit.
