1994 Mitsubishi eclipse trans axal

My transmision does not go in to drive i hold down the brake and it still does not work what do you think is wrong

You have a transmission problem -how's the fluid level and condition of fluid-if okay bring it in and get checked-

do you mean the shift lever wont move? or it acts like it's in neutral when it says drive?
