1994 Mazda MPV 6cyl 3.0. Starting difficult. Turns over well enough, doesn't seem to fire, then "suddenly" starts well. It runs well with no apparent problems.
Now and then it has a "sudden" hitch while turning over, then fires up after a bit.
smooth running means to me no fuel pump problem.
battery stays well charged.
Also. Probably unrelated. Both the "charging light" & the "fuel" lights, stay on all the time even though there's sufficient fuel, and the fluids are up fine.
Thank you so much, in advance.

The light issue could be a ground related issue. The hitch you hear at times may indicate a weak battery. I would recommend having both the alternator tested and the battery load tested. Most parts stores will do it for free. Also, check to make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight as well as the main ground to the engine block.
