I'm pretty good with basic fixes but I really seem to have a bad problem that I don't think I can handle but anyway I look off the water pump changed gaskets unfortunately that was not the problem it is leaking behind the water pump there is a plate I belive is the timing chain cover I not sure but what I am sure of is that I have a problem and I'm not sure how to fix it im not sure how the coolent runs through the engine, 4inches from the water pump toward the block there is a seam that looks like there should be a gasket it is leaking from that area I can actually see the leak a little squirt but enought to drain it all in a few hours if anyone has info please let me know I'm lost

The timing cover seals a coolant port that can leak coolant. You, at a minimum of replacing the gasket but may also find the sealing surface of the cover to be pitted and not reusable.
