1994 jeep grand cherokee 5.2 that surges and chokes off when cold. didnt start this until after i pulled the motor out to change rear crank seal . doe

is you temperature sensor plugged in,do you have access to live data on a scan tool? i would suspect a temp sensor issue ,either no hooked up or broken off or just plain no good.
