The engine was rebuilt a week ago. Engine running hot. Replaced radiator and thermostat. All hoses were replaced during rebuild. Removed thermostat. Since equipped with serpentine belt, checked that new water pump installed during rebuild was rev or R stamp. Puzzled why continues to run hot. Could timing be a factor?

Timing could be a factor if its retarded/tight engine-could also be air in the system that needs bleeding out-
