I have a 1994 Isuzu Rodeo that had a short in the wiring behind the instrument cluster. When it was parked it was running but there was smoke coming from under the dash and the headlights would not turn off so I disconnected the battery. Once I was able to start working on it, there was no easy way to visualize where or how bad this short was so I was forced to take the entire dash out. Once I was able to get to the shorted out area it was clear that that the severity of the short was so bad that just splicing and repairing was not an option so now I need to replace that section. Thus far I have had difficulty in finding a new harness or even a used harness from a 1994 salvaged vehicle. I have however found a 1997 salvaged Isuzu Rodeo with the same engine, A/T, 4x4 and seems to be the same in every way. Will the wiring harness from the 1997 work in my 1994?
Thanks you in advance!

If the wires don'thook to the computer it might be ok but 94is OBD1 an d97 is OBD2 best bet here is to tear harness apart and use same or similar wires to replace damaged wires in original harness.
