Where is this growling noise coming from and what could be the problem?
My 1994 GMC Jimmy makes a growling noise only when the A/C is on. It always happens when going from 0-15 mph from a dead stop. It also happens whenever coming to a complete stop, again at 15-0mph. It stops making the noise after speeds higher than 15 mph. If you shut the A/C off, it goes away.

Have you checked the ac clutch?You can use a long screwdriver to track the noise down.
