I have a 1994 Geo Metro Colonial. When you crank it and the engine reaches operating temprature, say driving to the store, when you turn it off, it won't crank again until it cools down. What could be causing this?

When you crank it and drive to the store, the engine reaches its normal operating temprature, when you shut it off, it won't crank again until it cools completely back down. What could be causing this to happen?

could be a failed starter motor. you need to verify that 12 volts is getting to the little wire at the solenoid when the key is in the cranking position.
