My 94 Ford Taurus GL was recently involved in an accident, and has severe damage to the rear of the car on both the driver and passenger side, and a rod connecting the rear wheels has come loose. After the accident, attempting to drive the car more than a few feet at a low speed causes it to shake violently. What part do I need to replace to fix this?

There's more than one "Rod" connecting the rear wheels to the suspension. They are referred to as struts/linkages/control arms, etc. If the force hitting the rear of your car was great enough to break one/more of these, then there will also be damage to the mounting point on the frame, and probably the frame as well.

Without knowing which is which, I'd be guessing. So if you can determine which part and the extent of the damage, I may be able to better help you. Sorry.
