Ford F-150 Fuse Problem

The air conditioning compressor has some how moved in its mount misaligning the serpentine belt and shredding it. I installed a shorter belt by-passing the compressor . The new belt makes contact with the compressor pully and spins it backward. I removed the A/C fuse so the compressor won't engage. Will spinning the A/C pully in reverse do any harm?

It will most likely cause damage to the new belt. Why didn't you just repair the mount and keep the compressor?
