High idle causing lurching while driving

I have a 1995 Eddie Bower bronco with a 5.8 liter engine. The last couple weeks when I started the engine, the motor went to high rev but after a while it kicked back down to about 1 grand. This is where it would normally be. Then last Friday when I started the engine the throttle just stayed at high idle and would not back down. I drove it this way until Saturday when the car would start lurching and even at times the transmission would slam (but I thought maybe this was due to the high idle). I did some research and changed the MAP sensor and it still did the same thing. I changed the TP (throttle position) sensor and it helped until I drove the Bronco up the road and it started doing the same thing (high idle and tranny********). I am not sure if I should be changing the knock sensor, PIP sensor or the EGO sensor next. I am lost. I would appreciate any help you could give.

It sounds more like the idle air control valve. Check that and check for vacuum leaks.
