1994 chrysler Lhs is knocking and running and going dead
I was driving and my car kept going dead so i bought a altnater then it stayed running a little bit. then i drove down the road and it went hot and started making loud knocking sound

sounds like it overheated and you may have damaged the motor from driving overheated.
you need a shop to do a leak down test to verify.
