What would cause it to kick down out of over drive. 1994 chevy s10 tahoe 4x4 . 4.3 u can drive 100 miles then hear a jake brake like sound then one ping then it shifts down a gear. next time only go 10 miles and get same noise and result

It sounds like the torque converter may be going bad or the TCC solenoid.
