wire problems

I have fual injection it's a 1994 chevy beretta thats all I know about the car, so what ever they came out with back then thats what i got,,,,

the problem is that I need to find out why i get a services engien soon light at speeds of 70 plus, but cant hook up to the wire harnes because someone removed all the wireing to it,,I need to find another way to find out why the light is comming on please come up with something for me
