Wire problems

I have fual injection it's a 1994 chevy beretta thats all I know about the car, so what ever they came out with back then thats what I got.

The problem is that I need to find out why I get a services engien soon light at speeds of 70 plus, but cant hook up to the wire harnes because someone removed all the wireing to it, I need to find another way to find out why the light is comming on please come up with something for me
