1994 Buick Regal Repair Question

While coasting in gear, engine will sometimes just cut out.
In addition to above, I must then come to a complete stop and put it in park to restart the engine. So I have two problems, the cutting out while car is coasting and the inability to restart in nuetral. What is your diagnosis? Thank you.

could be sticking egr valve causing the stalling.
the neutral saftey switch may be your other issue.
both need to be checked to verify.
