Replace tensioner pulley

1994 Buick Le Sabre - how to remove the tensioner pulley; when turn bolt (counterclockwise) that appears to hold the pulley the tensioner raises up and the bolt doesn't turn. How do you remove the pulley? reversed threads or from the rear or a way to stop movement of tensioner in order to remove the bolt?

I would expect it to be left hand thread but most of those tensioners are changed as a complete unit.

Thanks, it was a left hand thread. Saved a lot of time.
