I have a 93 Volvo 850 that has been stalling out. The car idles just fine but doesn't accelerate like it should. Just had the vacuum leak fixed along with a long list of brand new parts. Today when I picked my car up, it started and ran just fine, a few hours later went to drive it and it started then the coolant light came on and the car stalled out. It started right back up and the coolant light was off. I have replaced the catalytic converter, the muffler, Mass Air Flow sensor, the distributor cap and rotor, PCV Valve/flame trap, PNP Switch, Spark Plugs, Starter, O2 sensor, fuel filter and battery. I'm at a stall with this car literally. Please Help me figure out what the issue is!

We are seeing a similar (identical ?) problem with a 1992 5cyl 850 with automatic. Have you found a solution yet?

We just replaced the our cooling fan relay which allowed our car to restart. Our next step is the fuel injectors. The car feels like its getting no gas but yet we have a 1/2 tank.

In the 1994 normally aspirated 850 5cyl we are going to clean the Throttle Body, Idle Valve and Flame Trap next. The Idle Valve hoses have the factory one-time clamps, therefore it has never been cleaned. The Throttle Body was supposedly replaced a couple of years ago. Stay tuned, the news continues.......
