My 1993 Toyota pickup won't start all it does is clicking noises from the right side of the dash. What is the problem?

When I start to attempt any diagnosis, the easy stuff is first. Is the battery dead, have you any idea how old the battery is? Is there corrosion on the battery terminals? Let's start right there, OK?

The lights go on, the clock still works. I'm sure it's at least a couple years old. There is a little bit of corrosion yes. I have a stereo system so yeah it could be close do dead.

Then I request that you place a battery charger on the battery, clean the corrosion from and inspect for corrosion damage sneaking back up the cables, wait until the battery is fully charged and see if that keeps it on the road for a while. If that seems reasonable then cheers mate, come back with any other questions you have, we are here for you! ?
