TOYOTA PICKUP FUEL PUMP PROBLEM

1993 Toyota Pickup • 190,000 miles

2wd pickup 22RE, - as I'm driving, the motor dies. This happened about a year ago - one time, sort of similar to vapor lock, and then it didn't happen again until yesterday. It died as though I had just turned the key to off. I got it started again after cranking for 6-8 seconds, 2 or 3 times, then it ran for about 1/4 mile, then died again. I let the truck sit and cool for about half hour, then it started up and has been running okay. When this all started yesterday, my truck had been parked and off for about an hour, then when I got back in to the truck, it would crank but would not start. I've tried to check for codes, and it isn't throwing any. Can't figure out if it is fuel or electrical - since it is fuel injected. I'm wondering if it might be the fuel pump, but I feel like if it was the fuel pump, then it would just go out and that would be the end of it. Also - I wonder if maybe a relay on the fuel injection is getting stuck? What are your thoughts or suggestions? I need to get this solved in the next few hours so I can go to work. Thank you!
