I am going to give you a diagnositic walk through for your situation. I would pay special attention to electrical issues as you have some intermitant problem and that sounds electronic. When the diagnostic mentions pulling trouble codes or test like testing fuel pressure, Advance Auto and Auto Zone will tets electrical parts and pull codes for free. They also loan out specialty and test tools.
