Rear drum brakes won't work

I was working on my 1993 nissan pathfinder XE, and replaced the emergency brake lines after the equalizer that feed into the drum to get the e-brake to work again. After I had reasembled the rear drum brakes again and everything was ready to go, the rear brakes did not work at all, neither hydraulic or mechanically. I bled the brakes to ensure there was not any air bubbles and not I'm stumped on what could be the issue...... any suggestions would be very helpful!
