Can the 2.6L 4cyl mazda mpv transmission work whit the 3.0L V6 engine

It doesn't work with this engine unfortually. Another thing is putting a smaller transmission on a larger engine supposing it would bolt up correctly would damaged the transmission as a larger engine is powering the transmission.
