My 1993 Lincoln Town Car makes popping sounds when accelerated; loses power and dies when the accelerator is pressed . When the accelerator is not pressed the engine runs and idles fine. When I disconnect the air mass sensor the engine accelerates and runs w/o popping. The car has new ignition coils and a new idle throttle body sensors.
