1993 Isuzu Rodeo Repair Question

Headgasket
I have a 1993 Rodeo. It ran hot and now the values rattle on the driver side. Could the headgasket be bad?

How hot is hot? how is the oil supply to that head.

I just bought it for my daughter. Everything lookes fine, no water in oil. It has a top end noise. And when the truck is idling fast and that is what the noise starts.
