This is a major job. I will provide general directions, but you really should get a good repair manual that has step by step directions and pictures to help identify parts.

In general, drain the oil from the oil pan. Unbolt the oil pan from the engine block. Chances are you will need to lift the engine to actually remove the pan. Please be careful and properly support the engine so it can't move. Unbolt the motor mounts and lift engine just enough to remove the pan. Do not lift the engine by the oil pan. Once you remove the oil pan, you will have access to the oil pump. It is bolted to the rear main. Unbolt it paying attention to how it comes out so you can replace the new one the same way. If you are using the old oil pick up tube, make sure the screen is clean and there are no obstructions.
